Althought released in 1998, I watched Sliding Doors again for a 3rd time.
Gweyneth Paltrow is excellent in this moving, playing the unlucky woman who has a cheating boyfriend and loses her job in the same day….Sliding Doors is about what would happen if she caught the earlier tube home rather than the later one, and how the ’sliding doors’ of the tube would make all the difference.
Funnily, Gwyneth goes through men like toilet paper in real life, on some sort of ‘destiny’ cruise to find the right man. Meanwhile all the ones she’s tryed-before-buying get the elbow…..for the new guy. Sounds like infidel castro to me….
